Proposals for Outreach Activities
Guidelines for preparation and submission of proposals for outreach activities at the Fields Institute.
Deadlines
Deadlines for submission of proposals for outreach activities are February 15, June 15, and October 15 of each year. A lead-time of at least 9 months is requested between the deadline for submission and the date of the event. Proposals are considered by the Institute's Directorate and decisions are normally announced within 6 weeks of each deadline.
Proposals for Outreach Activities
The Fields Institute provides support up to $25,000 for projects whose goal is to promote mathematical culture at all levels and bring mathematics to a wider audience. Faculty, staff, and students at Fields sponsoring universities or affiliates considering organizing such an activity and seeking Fields Institute support are invited to submit a proposal.
Proposals should include a detailed description of the proposed activity as well as of the target audience. A budget indicating other sources of support is also required.
Sample proposals and consultations are available to assist in preparing proposals. Contact the Institute's Directorate for assistance.
