Communications and Monographs

The Fields Institute publishes two book series, the Fields Institute Communications and the Fields Institute Monographs. The Communications series consists of conference proceedings of research and survey articles. The Monograph series features high-quality research monographs and lecture notes in mathematics and applications of mathematics in science, engineering, finance, industry and medicine.  Originally published jointly with the American Mathematical Society from 1993 to 2011, these book series have been published jointly with Springer since Janaury 2012. 

The Fields Institute Turns Twenty-Five: The Book

The Fields Institute Turns Twenty-Five, an anniversary collection of stories from the many people who helped the Fields Institute develop over the last 25 years, is now available as an e-book.

Fields Mathematics Education Journal

The Fields Institute publishes this open access electronic journal aimed at themes that attract attention of the mathematics education community in Ontario, Canada and internationally. Its focus is to stimulate discussions, reflections, research, and commentaries about mathematics education within and between different interest groups. The FMEJ particularly encourages submissions of manuscripts related to presentations at the Fields Mathematics Education Forum. Originally hosted directly by the Fields Institute from 2013 to 2014, this journal is now published jointly with Springer since January 2015. 

Mathematics-in-Industry Case Studies Journal

The Fields Institute publishes this open access electronic journal devoted to case studies in industrial mathematics. MICS provides a venue for sharing ideas among academic and industrial researchers and a learning opportunity for newcomers and students, in particular in connection with the Institute's Industrial Problem Solving Workshops. Originally hosted directly by the Fields Institute from 2008 to 2014, this journal is now published jointly with Springer since January 2015.
